Summit for Life still on despite snow conditions

Despite that the top portion of Aspen Mountain is closed to skiing, the Chris Klug Foundation’s seventh annual Summit for Life nighttime race is still a go on Saturday.

People have been skinning up to the summit in recent weeks and it’s possible, with the caveat that some areas have to be picked through. Hiking certainly is doable for the race.
“People can choose their choice of equipment,” said Aspen Skiing Co. spokesman Jeff Hanle.  Check out equipment available in SkiSet shops by clicking on ‘Home’ tab above. The range available should satisfy most discerning tastes.  (Source: http://www.aspendailynews.com )
